How to Service a Blend Door Actuator on 2005 Chrysler Sebring?

Before servicing the front blend door actuator, first disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable to disable the air bag system, then wait for two minutes so the air bag system capacitor empties. Take out the right lower silencer panel and cover from the dash trim first. Following this, open the three screws holding the blend door actuator to the underside of the HVAC housing. Remember the location of the shaft and its linkage for correct reassembly. Get the actuator out of the HVAC section and then take off the HVAC wire harness connector from the car. In order to install, attach the blend door actuator to the HVAC housing, making sure the splines on its output shaft are with those on the blend door cam and fasten it using the three screws torqued to 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.). Connect the HVAC wire harness, mount the instruments panel cover and silencer panel and reconnect the negative battery cable.
