2005 Chrysler Sebring A/C Condenser Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair an A/C Condenser on 2005 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Start HVAC condenser servicing by recovering the refrigerant from the system and then disconnect the negative battery cable. Take out the front fascia and the upper radiator support crossmember. If you find the automatic transmission cooler lines attached to the left side of the A/C condenser, separate them and make sure plugs or tape secure the ends of the cooler lines as well as the cooler ports. Release the discharge line and the liquid line at the A/C condenser. Should the car be equipped, remove the power steering fluid cooler from the A/C condenser and move it some place extra. Remove the bolts attaching the A/C condenser to the radiator and then take the unit straight up out of the engine. For a new A/C condenser, top off the refrigerant system with 30 milliliters (1 fluid ounce) of recommended oil. Install the new A/C condenser around the radiator, tighten the two bolts to 5 N.m (45 in. lbs.) and if your model includes it, put the power steering fluid cooler back onto the A/C condenser. Attach the A/C discharge line and the A/C liquid line to the comicdenser. Take out the tape and plugs on the automatic transmission cooler lines and ports and then connect the lines to the ports. Reattach the upper radiator support crossmember and front fascia, put the negative battery cable back on, empty the refrigerant system, fill it with refrigerant and verify and refill the automatic transmission fluid.
