How to Safely Service and Repair a Blower Motor Resistor on 2005 Chrysler Town & Country?

Always wait for the rear blower motor resistor block to cool for five minutes if you had the blower motor running before you start service work. Disconnect the negative battery cable and afterwards disconnect the right quarter and right D-pillar trim panels from the quarter inner panel. After that, remove the resistor from the rear HVAC housing by taking out its two fasteners and disconnecting the wire link to the rear blower motor. Put the new rear blower motor resistor into the rear HVAC housing, fasten it with the two screws and tighten them until the wrench shows the reading of 2 N.m (17 in. lbs.). Attach the rear HVAC wire harness connector to the resistor, set the right quarter trim panel and right D-pillar trim panel back in place and then connect the negative battery cable.
