It helps to put the engine coolant mixture in the rear heater core before connecting it back to the other heater hoses following repair. The heater core should be installed in the rear HVAC housing and placed in the car alongside it; then, put a funnel in the top hose fitting on the heater core and pour coolant until you see it at the lower hose. Finish by reattaching the heater hoses and filling the coolant in the engine.
