Holder the shaft yoke securely in a vise before doing any further repairs on the joint with injected rings. Suspend the press over the propeller shaft yoke, with its receiver on and press the U-joint bearing caps from the shaft yoke by holding in the press. With the lower cap off, turn the shaft again and press in the last U-joint bearing cap. With the U-joint off the shaft yoke, place the press on the flange so the press ends up above where the U-joint caps were and use it to push both bearing caps out, removing only the outer cap. Perform these steps on the other bearing cap and get rid of the U-joint from the flange. First, insert the replacement joint into the flange only covering one bearing cap, then put the press on top of the flange and bearing cap, pushing until you can see the snap ring groove. After installing the snap ring on the first bearing, go on and set the second one in the same way. Assemble the flange onto the U-joint in the yoke, put the press with the receiver end through the yoke's bearing cap and press until the snap ring groove appears. Fit the snap ring onto the bearing cap and then finish by fitting the ring to the other bearing cap.
