• Q: How Can Transmitters Be Programmed Using the DRB III(R) Scan Tool or by the Customer on 2005 Dodge Neon?

  A: Customers may set up their Remote Keyless Entry transmitters either with the Drb Iii(R) scan tool or themselves. Open the "Theft Alarm" menu, then choose "Vtss," and next "Miscellaneous," and then simply click on the needed function. If only one transmitter is programmed for customer programming, extra Rkes can be added using it; but if all transmitters are lost, the Drb Iii(R) tool is necessary to program new ones. Start by inserting your key into the ignition, rotating it to Run and preventing the engine from starting so the chimes stop. Press and hold Unlock on the Rke transmitter for 4-10 seconds, then push the Panic button while both are still held down and release both buttons. Once you wait a bit, a dinging sound will confirm you have entered customer programming mode. With every transmitter you have, press and release the button to be programmed to the Rke module and you can do this with already programmed ones as well-up to a maximum of four times. You will hear a signal sound when the program is successful for each transmitter.
