2005 Dodge Neon Seat Belt Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Fix a Rear Seat Belt and Retractor on 2005 Dodge Neon?
A: Before working on the rear seat belt and retractor, remove the rear seat cushion and back, then take the seat belt bezel off the parcel shelf cover. If the silencer pad gets in the way, take it out and get to the retractor. Afterward, pop the bolt that secures the lower anchor to the floor. After that, take out the connecting bolt from the rear seat closure panel and push the seat belt bezel and tongue through the opening in the parcel shelf above. In the trunk, take out the rear seat belt retractor located inside the car. Put the rear seat belt retractor in the trunk and through the hole in the rear shelf trim, feed the seat belt bezel and buckle end up to the headrest. Secure the retractor bolt to the rear seat closure panel, tightened to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). After that, secure the seat belt lower anchor bolt to the floor and set the tightness to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Add the silencer pad over the rear seat closure, fit the seat belt bezel on the rear shelf trim and put the rear seat cushion and back in their places last.
