2005 Dodge Neon Dimmer Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Dimmer Switch on 2005 Dodge Neon?
A: Remove and separate the battery negative cable as the first step to serve and fix the combination switch. Take off the upper and lower shrouds around the steering column and then remove the two posi-lock harness connectors at the back of the multi-function switch. Take out the multi-function switch mounting screws and when you're putting in a new switch, move the combination flasher and wiper/washer control over to it. When installing, put the windshield wiper/washer switch onto the new multi-function switch and if there is a combination flasher, also transfer it. Use a torque wrench to attach the multi-function switch by screwing them in to 3 Nm (27 in. lbs.) tightness. Couple the pose-lock harness at the switch's back, fit each upper and lower shroud on the steering column to its original place and then attach the negative cable to the battery.
