  A: Before servicing or repairing the Evaporative Emission Control Canister, disconnect the negative battery cable and lift the vehicle for support. Disconnect both hoses from the EVAP canister, then remove just one nut from the bracket and you can pull the canister from the car. For now, put the EVAP canister onto the bracket and hold it in place with 2 nuts, tightening them to 6.7 N-m (60 in. lbs.). Attach the hoses again, then fit the canister and bracket onto the car and tighten the nut 22.4 N-m (250 in. lbs.). After that, set the car on the ground and secure the negative battery cable into place.
