How to Properly Service and Install an Axle Shaft Seal on 2005 Dodge Ram 1500?

Before taking out the seal, pull the axle shaft and access it with a little pry bar inside the axle tube. Thoroughly clean out the axle tube bore so that old sealer or burs are gone. Apply some axle lubricant to the lip of the seal and then insert it by using Handle C-4735-1 and Installer C-4076-B to make sure it sits at the proper depth as you slide the tool into the axle tube. When the seal is applied and in position, put on the axle shaft, followed by the differential cover and use a fill plug to inject enough oil.
