Q: How to Service the Rear Sway Bar Link in Your Suspension System on 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: First, raise and support the vehicle and remove the rear tire so as to support the rear axle with a jack, in order to service the sway bar link in the rear suspension. Then take the upper link bolt at frame and the lower link nut at the sway bar off to remove the sway bar link. To install, start by bolting down the top sway bar link bolt to the frame, tightening the bolt to 102 Nm (75 ft. lbs.), the other bolt securing the sway bar link to the sway bar, then tightening the nut to 88 Nm (65 ft. lbs.). After this, remove the jack and lower the car.
