How to Service the Sway Bar Link in the Front Suspension on Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Raise and hold up the vehicle, remove the wheel assembly and then work on the sway bar link in the front suspension. After that, unbolt the upper link bolt/nut (1 & 2) and lower link bolt (6) to lose the sway bar link (3). First, put the sway bar link onto the vehicle, then attach the lower link bolt (6) and tighten up to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.). After that, add the upper link bolt/nut (1 & 2) and tighten it to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). After that, put the tire back on and wheel assembly and slowly lower the vehicle.
