How to Maintain a Fuel Tank on 2005 Jeep Liberty?

To service the fuel tank unit, release the fuel system pressure and then drain and remove the tank. Note the position of the fuel pump module by the use of the indexing arrow. Remove and reinstall the module with Special Tool 9340 ensuring proper alignment and tightening the lockring before reinstalling the tank.
