    You should make certain the fuel system pressure is released, since it might stay pressurized even though your car is not running, before working on the tank unit. The first step is to take out and drain the fuel tank. Before taking out the Fuel Pump module, check and note how it is rotated by the arrow on its top surface. Use the notches on Special Tool 9340 to fit around the outside of the lockring. Attach 9340 to the 1/2 inch drive breaker bar and roll the bar counter-clockwise until the module springs up a bit. Be sure to take the module out of the fuel tank in a way that doesn't bend the float arm. Carefully put the fuel pump module into the tank's opening using a new seal (gasket). Cover the fuel pump module with the lockring, then turn it until the arrow points to the middle mark on the fuel tank lid to ensure the float does not touch the side of the tank. Run Special Tool 9340 into the lockring and add the 1/2 inch drive breaker bar. Turn the lockring clockwise all the way, leaving all seven notches engaged. Replace the fuel tank as the final step.

Following this, secure the Lockring Remover/Installer 9340 (3) onto the lockring and put a 1/2 inch drive breaker (1) on the tool. After that, rotate the lockring clockwise until you feel all seven notches grab hold and move on to install the fuel tank.
