How to Service and Repair a Rear Door Window Regulator for Power on 2005 Jeep Liberty?

You should begin the service of the rear door window regulator by taking out the waterdam. Open the door glass and place the lift plate clip into the hole in the door panel. Slide a flat or hook tool between the clip and the regulator lift plate to release it, remove the glass from this plate and then reattach the clip after re-installing the glass. Hold the glass over your mouth with a wood wedge in the up position, keep it secure with tape or use another similar type of material. Then, unbolt the regulator, clip off the runout tube and set everything aside. Pull the electrical connector out before proceeding to install it by connecting the electrical connector and installing the bolts with one finger pressure. After installing the regulator assembly, tighten all bolts to 9 N.m (80 in.lbs) in the order listed in the specification. After that, unhook the glass support from the frame and join it with the regulator lift plate before installing the waterdam again.
