2006 Chrysler Crossfire Release Bearing Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Release Bearing on 2006 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: Start the job of servicing and repairing the clutch release bearing and slave cylinder by first taking off the transmission. Subsequently, take the bolts from the clutch slave cylinder/release bearing (1) and remove the slave cylinder/release bearing from the transmission bell along with the plastic washer. Check the clutch slave cylinder/release bearing for leaks and wear and swap out those parts that are worn out. For installation, put the slave cylinder/release bearing into the bell housing and install the slave cylinder/release bearing bolts (1) with a torque of 10 Nm (89 in. lbs.). The last step is to put in the transmission and bleed the system for the hydraulic clutch.
