2006 Chrysler Pacifica Door Latch Assembly Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Rear Door Latch Assembly on 2006 Chrysler Pacifica?
A: To do the service or repair on the rear door latch, start by taking off the door panel and the watershield and lift the door glass next. Remove the clips holding the lock and latch rods to the door handle from the outside and cut off the wire plug that goes to the motor if you have it. Unscrew the latch from the end frame, then lift the door latch out. Always remember that screws found on these bikes are equipped with nylon on their threads and need to be replaced after being removed. Put the inside handle latch link into the door latch and engage the clip and then set the door latch on the door end frame. Attach the door latch by screwing it in with torque of 8 N.m (70 in.lbs.). Return all the extra linkages to the door latch, leave the clips engaged and attach the wire connector to the power door lock motor as needed. Adjust the latch correctly, make sure both latches and door locks are working, fit the watershield into place and simply put in the front door trim panel.
