2006 Chrysler Sebring Speed Sensor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain the Speed Sensor on a T350 Manual Transaxle on 2006 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Raise the T350 manual transaxle vehicle on a hoist before performing the vehicle speed sensor service. Unplug the connector for the speed sensor. Wipe the space around the sensor carefully so dirt does not get into the transaxle when you remove it. Get rid of the speed sensor retaining bolt and take the speed sensor out of the transaxle, being sure the sensor gear does not end up in the transaxle; if it does, then you have to reattach the gear to the sensor. After that, take the drive gear off the speed sensor. The first step is to join the pinion gear to the speed sensor and then use a new O-ring to put the sensor inside the transaxle. Attach the rear wheel with the bolt, adjusting to 7 Nm (60 inch lbs.), then link the speed sensor back into its connector. In the end, lower the truck and check the speedometer's function on a road test.
