2006 Dodge Dakota Throttle Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2006 Dodge Dakota?
A: Take off the tube that connects the throttle body to the air filter and afterward separate both the IAC motor and TPS electrical connectors. Following this, take away the control cables from the throttle body lever arm and cut away any needed vacuum lines. Then, remove the three mounting bolts and uninstall the throttle body from its place on the intake manifold and check the O-ring on the old throttle body. Before installation, be sure to check the O-ring between the throttle body and intake manifold; if it is damaged, you should replace it. After the surfaces are clean, set in the new O-ring and attache the throttle body to the intake manifold. Screw the three mounting bolts into the throttle body with a torque of 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.). Latest, put in the control cables, electrical connectors and vacuum lines and mount the air plenum.
