2006 Dodge Dakota Window Regulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Rear Door Window Regulator for Manual on 2006 Dodge Dakota?
A: You should start by removing the watershield before you handle repairs on the rear door window regulator. Replace the old manual window crank and move the window glass to the place mark on the glass. Loose the clamp screws and lift the glass all the way up before ensuring it stays in place with tape or an equivalent step. Removes the screws at the bottom of the two regulators and the one bolt at the crank mechanism. Release the last three bolt-tops next to the keyhole openings and lift up the regulator to take it out of the keyhole slots. Put the regulator against the door and insert and secure the bolts into the openings on the key. Add the regulator lift mechanism bolt and then the two lower bolts, being sure to tighten all regulator bolts to 9.5 N.m (85 in. lbs.). Take off the tape after you remove the glass and put the glass into the glass clamps. Set the window crank handle to bring the glass all the way up and only then tighten the screws on each side of all the glass clamps. The last step is to eliminate the manual crank and then put the watershield back in place.
