2006 Dodge Durango Air Filter Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Repair an Air Filter on 2006 Dodge Durango?
A: To work on the air filter, loosen the clamp and disconnect the air duct connected to the cover of the air cleaner. Open the four spring clips from the cover that holds the housing, then detach the housing cover from the tabs and take it out. Take away the air cleaner, then clean all the inside of the assembly before installing it again. With the clamp loosened, disjoin the air duct where it meets the air cleaner cover, then lift the whole housing assembly away from the locating pins. First, there should be the filter in the housing; then set the housing cover into place using the locating tabs and push on the spring clips to secure them. Join the air duct to the surface of the air cleaner cover, then tighten the hose clamp to 3 Nm (26 inch lbs.) torque. If you find that other hose clamps on the air intake system are removed, be sure to tighten them to 3 Nm (26 inch lbs.). If bolts were taken out from the air resonator or air intake, screw them back in to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.) of tightness.
