How to Maintain a Brake Disc for Optimal Performance on 2006 Dodge Durango?

Before servicing the rear brake rotor/disc, lift the vehicle plus support it and remove the wheel and tire. Subsequently, detach the bolts of the brake caliper and the brake caliper adapter and take out the adapter and all the retaining clips with the rotor. Installation begins with putting the rotor onto the hub/bearing and attaching the caliper adapter afterward. First, tighten the caliper adapter bolts to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs) and then set in the disc brake caliper. When this is done, attach the tire and wheel and bring the vehicle back down to the ground.
