2006 Dodge Durango Brake Line Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service the Front Brake Line on 2006 Dodge Durango?
A: You should lift the vehicle, support it, remove the tire assembly and then access the brake hose. Separate brake line 1 from brake hose 2 connected to the frame, then remove brake line 1 and the retaining clip from hose 3 and the frame. After that, disconnect the clip from brake hose 2 and remove the banjo bolt at the caliper before you remove the hose. When installing, place brake hose 2 and fasten the retaining clip for brake hose 3 to the frame. Push brake line 1 onto brake hose 2 and tighten it to 19 Nm (170 inch lbs.) and thread the brake hose banjo bolt into the caliper and tighten it to 18 Nm (155 inch lbs.). After that, eliminate the support, slowly lower the vehicle and bleed the brake lines.
