2006 Dodge Durango Cruise Control Servo Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Cruise Control Servo on 2006 Dodge Durango?
A: Below, we describe how to service the cruise control servo. First, loosen the negative battery cable connector from the battery. After that, take off the vacuum line and electronic connector at the servo. Take out the three screws securing the servos and unplug the servo connection at the throttle body. Take out the two servo cable sleeve mounting nuts, bring the whole sleeve and servo away from the bracket, then remove the clip that's holding the speed control cable sleeve. Take out the servo from its bracket, keeping track of how it faces the ensure it will follow the correct direction. Connect the servo mount to your bracket, making sure the cable connector and servo are lined up and then place the cable-to-servo retaining clip. Push the servo mounting studs through the holes in the mounting bracket and put the two nuts on them, tightening them as the instructions advise. Secure the top side of the servo assembly into place at the mounting lugs on the lower part of the PDC, then install and fasten the three screws according to the torque values. Attach the vacuum line and electrical connector back to the servo and then connect the servo cable to the intake end of the throttle body. Once you've done the above, reattach the negative battery cable to the battery and before turning on the car, operate the accelerator pedal to ensure it isn't restricted.
