How to Service a Cruise Control Switch on 2006 Dodge Durango?

Before handling the cruise control switch, disconnect the negative battery cable, give it about 2 minutes to drain the air bag system capacitor and reconnect the cable. Take out the air bag module, unplug its electrical connector and remove the mounting screw for the speed control switch (1) so you can take out the switch from the steering wheel. Install the switch on the steering wheel, screw it securely in place with the right torque, plug in the electrical hookup, adjust the air bag module to its original position and then plug the battery cable back in.
