You should start by pulling the negative battery connector out of the battery before working on the cruise control servo. Then, take out the hose of the vacuum from the servo, then remove the electrical connector and after that, take off the servo cable from the
Throttle Body. Release the cable sleeve by unscrewing the two nuts keeping it in place to the bracket so you can pull the cable and servo out and see the retaining clip. Remember the position of the servo as you take it off. Place the servo onto the bracket, make sure the holes in the cable and in the servo join up and clip the cable onto the servo with the retaining clip. Pass the servo mounting studs through the holes in the bracket, attach them with nuts and tighten each to 8.5 Nm (75 in. lbs.). After that, plug in the vacuum line and electrical connector to the servo and fasten the servo cable to the throttle body. When finished attaching the cable, put the negative battery cable back on the battery and, before ignition, press the accelerator to make sure there is no binding in the system.
