2006 Dodge Grand Caravan Seat Belt Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain and Fix the Second Row Left Outboard Seat Belt Retractor on 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: To do this job, remove the first and second row seats and also take out both the lower and upper anchor bolts of the first row seat belt assembly. After, take the liftgate sill plate and upper trim off, then loosen the second seat belt's bolts. Remove the D-pillar trim cover and you will find and disconnect the speaker connector from the back. Get rid of the quarter trim and bolts and remove the quarter trim panel. Afterward, get rid of the bolt that holds the retractor in place and extract the second row seat belt and retractor from the vehicle. To install, slide the second row seat belt back in and turn the bolt to 39 N.m (29 ft. lbs.). After that, carefully insert the quarter trim panel and use the screws to hold it in place. After that, secure the speaker connector again and install the D-pillar trim cover. After that, set the lower anchor bolt for the second seat belt and tighten it to 39 N.m (29 ft. lbs.) and the upper anchor bolt for the turning loop, once again-torque should be 39 N.m (29 ft. lbs.). Put on the upper liftgate trim and sill plate next, then put the seat belt bolts back in and torque them to 39 N.m (29 ft. lbs.) and finally install the first and second row seats.
