2007 Dodge Grand Caravan Seat Belt Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Inspect, Replace, and Test Your Seat Belt System on 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: Inspect both shoulder belt and lap belt, removing and replacing any that have a cut, are torn, are frayed or have damage of any kind. First, arrange the seat belt and retractor at the seat and then bolt them on to the B-pillar, tightening it to 39 Nm (29 ft.lbs.) Bring the seat belt retractor electrical connector together, put the lower B-pillar trim cover into place and then place the sliding door sill plate and front door sill plate. Set the seat belt anchor bolt into place, apply a torque of 39 Nm (29 ft.lbs.) and if you have the Occupant Classification System connect the belt tension sensor connector. Next, set up the upper B-pillar trim, fasten the turning loop to the height adjuster by bolting it and turning the bolt to 39 Nm (29 ft.lbs.), finally setting the cover in place on the seat belt turning loop. Lift the knob on the shoulder harness height, place it onto the adjuster and then adjust the seat to around where the customer will likely sit. If using the OCS, do not plug the negative battery cable until the system test has been made. After the air bag System test is done properly, perform the Occupant Classification System Verification Test using a scan tool and the proper diagnostic records. Do a final check of how the vehicle and systems function and then close the hood.
