Q: How to Service and Repair a Driveshaft Center Support Bearing for HD on 2006 Dodge Ram 1500?
A: To service the driveshaft center support bearing, you must remove the rear propeller shaft and make marks on the shafts. Use a Bearing Splitter Tool to remove the bearing and install the new bearing with Installer 6448A. Clean and grease the shaft splines, align and reassemble. Adjust for launch shudder by lowering the bearing in 3.0 mm intervals.
