How to Service and Repair an ABS Control Module in the Hydraulic Control Unit on 2006 Dodge Ram 1500?

Disconnect the cables from the battery and take out the battery to service and repair the Hydraulic Control Unit for the antilock brakes. After that, detach the electrical connectors from the harness and take out the brake lines from the HCU. Then, get the bolts holding the HCU/ABM in place and lift out the HCU/ABM from the tray. A reprogram is required for the ABM if it is replaced with a scan tool. When installing, put the HCU/ABM on the mounts in the battery tray and tighten the bolts with a wrench to 15 Nm. Fix the brake lines back to the HCU and tighten the connections to 19 Nm. Attach the electrical harness connectors to the HCU/ABM and make them secure by pushing hard on the release. Reinstall the battery, attach both battery cables and finish by bleeding the ABS brake system.
