• Q: How to Service the Blower Motor Under the Passenger Side Instrument Panel on 2006 Dodge Ram 2500?

  A: Before working on the blower motor on the passenger side under the instrument panel, remove and isolate the negative battery cable. Disconnect the passenger trim panel, then pull the HVAC wire harness lead from the blower motor and remove it from both retaining clips. Next, undo the three screws around the blower motor on the bottom of the HVAC housing and get the blower motor off. When mounting the motor, put it at the bottom of the housing and attach it with the three screws at a torque level of 2.2 N.m (20 in. lbs.). Plug in the HVAC wire harness lead to the blower motor and then put it back into the two retainers. Reinstall the passenger side cowl trim panel last and don't forget to reconnect the negative battery cable.
