In order to fix the 42RLE Automatic Transmission shift cable, one must lift up the vehicle, unlock the cable eyelet, and pull out the grommet. Disassemble BTSI, disconnect the wiring and cable and take out the cable. Installation requires running the new cable, tying it and verifying the transmission range sensor and settings.
