2006 Dodge Sprinter 3500 A/C Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service the A/C Hose from Condenser to Receiver/Drier on 2006 Dodge Sprinter 3500?
A: Before servicing the condenser to receiver/drier, first detach the negative cable and isolate it on the battery, then lift the air filter out of the rear A/C evaporator opening. Draw out the refrigerant from the rear system and lift the cover from the rear A/C condenser housing. Firms should free the rear liquid line from the rear receiver/drier, discarding the O-ring seal and do the same for the rear line going to the rear condenser. Take out the straps holding the A/C wire harness to the back liquid line and take out the liquid line, placing a plug or tape over all the opened rear liquid line fittings, receiver/drier and condenser ports. During installation, undo the tapes or plugs on the receiver/drier and condenser end of the rear liquid line, lubricate new O-ring seals with clean refrigerant oil, insert them onto each connector and use the O-rings and oil matching the R-134a system and the specified A/C compressor. After joining the rear liquid line to the rear receiver/drier, secure it by fastening the nut tightly to 35 N.m (26 ft. lbs) and then repeat by connecting to the rear A/C condenser, again fastening the nut to 35 N.m (26 ft. lbs). After that, attach the straps for the rear A/C wire harness, reattach the negative cable to the battery, release any refrigerant from the rear air conditioning system, recharge the unit, insert the rear air filter and mount the cover on the condenser housing.
