How to Maintain Your Rear Seat Belt and Retractor on 2006 Dodge Sprinter 3500?

Before servicing the rear seat belt and retractor, take out the back seat from the car. Pull up on the seat belt webbing to get to the rear seat belt fastener, then remove the turning loop trim cover by taking off the push pin fastener. After that, unscrew the pin and separate the turning loops from the back of the loop bracket by removing its push nut. To finish the left outboard seat, undo the attachment of the rear lower seat belt from its screw underneath the plastic cover and unsnap the back seat shield. If you have a center rear seat, take out the screw holding the seat belt lower anchor and, after rotating the trim cover, pull the rear seat belt through the upper anchor and across the center rear seat in order to finish the installation. Unscrew the bolt that keeps the retractor attached to the rear seat cushion frame and pull the seat belt and retractor from under the rear seat. To install, put the rear seat belt and retractor system into the bracket, verify the guide from the retractor lines up with the notch on the bracket and after, tighten the screw to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.). Pass the rear seat belt and lower anchor through the turning loop bracket and trim cover, insert them in the rear seat frame and attach them with a screw that is tightened to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.). Place the plastic cover over the screw for the left outboard seating position. Put the two seat belt loops onto their corresponding connection bracket, insert a new pin through these loops and the bracket and squeeze over the push nut. Start by putting the trim cover for the turning loop onto the bracket, thread the seat belt webbing up and over the plastic push pin, secure the plastic piece on the back of the rear seat and then put the bench seat back into place in the vehicle.
