How to Service and Repair a Rear Engine Mount on 2006 Dodge Stratus?

To service or fix the rear engine mount, shed the throttle body air inlet hose and the air cleaner housing assembly first. Following, break out the three vertical bolts holding the rear mount bracket to the transaxle case. Raise the vehicle on a hoist and take out the rear mount bracket with a bolt. Remove the front mount's bolts first, then remove the horizontal bolt holding the rear mount bracket to the transaxle case so that you can take out the mount bracket. Open the suspension linkage by removing the bolts that fix the rear mount to the crossmember. When installing, first bolt the rear mount onto the suspension crossmember and follow with loose installation of the bolts. After, set the mount bracket on the transaxle and attach it with bolts, snugging them firmly at 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.). Hold the engine in place with the rear mount to crossmember bolts fastened to 61 Nm (45 ft. lbs.). Mount the rear mount to the bracket with the bolt and torque it to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.). After that, attach the front mount to the engine with 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.) and put the car back on the ground. Restore and set in place the throttle body air inlet hose and housing assembly.
