2006 Dodge Stratus Throttle Body Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2006 Dodge Stratus?
A: To start with the repair, disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Pull out the clean air hose, remove the shield from the throttle cable and disconnect the cables from the lever and its bracket. Take the electrical connectors out of the idle air control motor and throttle position sensor. After that, remove the throttle body by undoing the bolts that connect it to the intake manifold and taking out the throttle cable bracket. During installation, put the throttle body in place and secure it with bolts pulled to 13.6 N.m (120 in. lbs.) torque. Mounting bolts should be fastened to 14.1 N.m (125 in. lbs.) when you reattach the throttle cable bracket. Stand the throttle lever fully open as you connect the throttle and speed control cables. After that, plug the electrical connectors to the idle air control motor and throttle position sensor and secure the throttle cable shield and clean air hose. Take the other negative cable and secure it to the battery.
