How to service and repair a Rear Door Striker on 2006 Jeep Commander?

You should first use a grease pencil or an equivalent to mark the place on the c-pillar where the rear door latch striker 2 is found. Then, remove the two bolts at position 1 that hold the striker to the c-pillar and take out the striker. Set the door latch strike 2 onto the c-pillar and loosely secure the bolts 1 until installation is finished. Following the marks made during removal, place the door latch striker against the c-pillar and tighten the bolts to 28 N.m (21 ft.lbs).
