How to Service Car Speakers in the Front, Instrument Panel, and Rear Doors on 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

First, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the front door trim assembly and fasteners, unmount the speaker and disconnect the wire connector at the door. Before installing, connect the wire harness connector to the speaker and then position the speaker in the door. Place the mounting fasteners into the speaker holes, install the fasteners and tighten them, reinstall the front door trim panel and quickly reconnect the battery negative cable. Turn the instrument panel speaker off by cutting the air bag system from power by removing and isolating the negative battery wire for two minutes. First, take out the speaker grille, replace the speaker and remove the wire harness connector. Once installation starts, attach the wire harness connector to the speaker, mount the speaker in the instrument panel, use the fasteners to secure it, fix the speaker grille and link the battery negative cable one more time. For the rear door speaker, separate the battery negative cable from its terminal, detach the rear door panel, loosen the speaker's fasteners, remove it from the door and disconnect the connector. Installation is done by attaching the wire harness connector to the speaker, putting the speaker in the door, using the mounting fasteners to fix it securely, putting the rear door trim panel back in place and finally reconnecting the battery negative cable.
