2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Windshield Washer Nozzle Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain a Windshield Washer Nozzle on 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
A: Remove the hood silencer pad at the inner reinforcement using the push-in retainers to service the front washer nozzle hose. Remove the hose from the front washer nozzle and release the back latches. Carefully push the front washer nozzle out through the hole at the hood's top side and take it out from the hood panel. During installation, mount the front washer nozzle to the mounting hole on the outside of the hood, making sure the anti-rotation tab matches the anti-rotation notch there. Press down gently and equally on the nozzle until you hear the integral latches snap into place on the underside of the hood. After that, connect the washer hose to the barbed nipple and slide the retainers for the silencer back onto the hood. Before you do anything with the rear washer nozzle, unhook the negative battery cable and remove the Center High-Mounted Stop Lamp from the liftgate outer panel. Remove the rear washer supply hose from the nipple in the rear washer nozzle and also from the back of the Chmsl housing, then press both latch handles to push the nozzle out from the face of the lamp. Rubber gaskets should be installed all around the base of the rear washer nozzle, so it's correctly installed and not damaged and next, you should insert the nozzle nipple through the hole on the front of the Chmsl so the nozzle faces down. Push the nozzle into the hole of the mount, holding it firmly until the two features on its back latch onto the mounting surface, reattach the rear washer line to the barb on the nozzle, secure the CHMSL onto the liftgate panel and finally attach the battery negative cable again.
