You should first take out the bolt that holds the rear bumper to the frame rail, before removing it. If the vehicle has a rear tow eye or hook, you should remove that after the cable is clipped. If your car has a rear fog lamp, remove power to it. After that, take out the bolts connecting the bumper to the rear frame crossmember and free the bumper from the car. To install the bumper, reattach it to the vehicle and put the nuts onto the rear frame crossmember, securing them with 77 N.m of torque (57 ft.lbs.). If your car has a rear tow eye or hook, secure it in place, as instructed and then attach the bumper to the frame rail with the supplied bolt, tightening it to 77 N.m (57 ft.lbs.). Lastly, connect up the electrical connectors for the rear fog lamp if your car is so equipped.
