2007 Chrysler 300 Tie Rod End Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service a Tie Rod End on 2007 Chrysler 300?
A: For the outer tie rod, take off clamp 2 to ensure the inner tie rod bellows is flexible and not twisted before you start turning the rod. Following this, put outer tie rod 4 onto inner tie rod 3 and add the same number of turns as there were before. Attach outer tie rod end 2 to steering knuckle 3, put on nut 1 and set it tight by turning it 85 Nm (63 ft. lbs.). After installing the assemblies, tighten the wheel mounting nuts 1 (3 for the police cars). Lower the vehicle and correctly align the wheels, by setting the toe according to the requirements. Lastly, torque jam nut 1 to a value of 1 to 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).
