2007 Chrysler Aspen Oil Pan Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install an Oil Pan on a 4X2 on 2007 Chrysler Aspen?
A: Before fitting the oil pan onto a 4x2 vehicle, you need to clean the gasket surface on the bedplate and the oil pan as well. Install the new o-ring on the pickup tube, put the gasket in place and install the mounting parts, giving them a 28 Nm (20 ft. lbs.) torque. After that, place the oil pan and drive in the mounting bolts, tightening them to 15 Newton meters (11 ft. lbs.) following the correct sequence. Once you've raised the engine to its highest point, take out the wooden supports. After that, lower the engine and attach the left and right mounts through bolts, dropping the nuts to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.). When the oil filter is in place, you should attach the structural dust cover following it. Fit the exhaust pipe to the manifolds, take the car down and next attach the intake manifold. Afterwards, install the throttle body resonator and the air inlet hose, then the upper fan shroud. Fill up the cooling system and engine oil, then turn on the engine and look for any leaks.
