2007 Chrysler Aspen Crankshaft Seal Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Properly Remove and Service a Crankshaft Seal on 2007 Chrysler Aspen?
A: If the seal change is done on the car, first take off the transmission and then the flexplate. The crankshaft oil seal cannot be reused after being taken out of the engine. Install Special Tool 8506 very deep into the seal and hold onto the tool, pulling it tight as needed until it can't be turned any further. If installation fails, there is a chance that the tool will come loose before the seal is removed from the engine. Use Special Tool 8506 at the end to remove the crankshaft rear oil seal.
