2007 Chrysler Crossfire Air Bag Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Safely Install and Service an Air Bag Sensor on 2007 Chrysler Crossfire?
A: Before you begin servicing, first cut off the battery negative cable, let the system capacitor discharge for two minutes and then reconnect the negative cable to disable the supplemental restraint system and protect yourself. Be sure that the negative battery cable is unplugged. Install the front impact sensor in the proper mounting location using the supplied two mounting screws and tightened them to 7 Nm (62 in. lbs.). Join the front impact sensor electrical connector and close the access panel in the inner fender well just before lowering the vehicle. Don't plug in the negative battery cable until you have completed the verification test for the additional restraints system. You should also run the Supplemental Restraint System (Srs) - Verification Test.
