  A: Put the hood latch close to the front support under the upper radiator so that you can attach the ball end of the hood latch release cable to the latch lever, then secure the cable housing to the latch by clamping it into position. Then, fix the latch over the upper support of the radiator and attach the two bolts by hand until the latch is secure enough. Put the latch in its correct place on the radiator, calculated from the earlier marks and tighten the retaining screws to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). Lastly, check how the hood closes and latches and make sure there are gaps of 4 mm (0.160 in.) that are straight and even with the sides and rear of the vehicle.
