2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser Wiper Motor Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install and Service a Wiper Motor on 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: For the front wiper motor, secure it on the linkage with the three pointed bolts first. Attach the drive link to the motor crank ball joint, put the front wiper module into the cowl area and secure it with three bolts that you torque to 8 Nm (75 in. lbs.). Attach the front wiper motor posi-lock harness to its connector and put the cowl cover in place, so that the right side cover covers a bit more than the left. Fasten the left side cowl cover to the frame with three push retainers and do the same with the right side using four push retainers. Fix the seal in the rear engine compartment at the cowl. Prior to connecting the front wipers, run the wipers to ensure the front wiper module is in PARK and then place the arms so the tips of both blades are lined up with the park line on the windshield. Set the arm facing over/the center on the kitchen wiper pivot, then fix and tighten the wiper arm retaining nut to a torque of 21 Nm (190 in. lbs.). Install the cap onto the wiper arm nut, plug the battery negative cable back in and shut the hood.
