  A: First, raise and prop the hood, then draw a mark on the upper radiator support with a grease pencil for when you put the hood latch back in place. Open the hood and remove the two stud bolts holding the hood latch to the radiator support above to free the hood latch. Remove the cable housing from the latch and bring out the cable ball before disconnecting the latch. When mounting, position the hood latch front and center on the upper radiator support, join the cable ball of the release cable to the hood latch lever and then attach the cavity of the cable to the hood latch release. Then, fit the latch into place at the top of the radiator support and loosely attach each of the two stud bolts that hold it. Match the latch with the marks on the radiator and tighten the retaining bolts to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs). Always inspect the fitting of the hood to assure the hood's various edges are no more than 4 mm (0.160 in.) away from the sides of the vehicle.
