How to Service and Repair a Vapor Canister on 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Release the fuel pressure before starting the service and repair of the Evaporative Emission Control Canister. Subsequently, take off the air cleaner lid, pull out the inlet air temperature sensor and makeup air hose and remove the negative battery cable. Lift and hold up the vehicle, then take care of emptying the fuel tank. Take the fuel tank and EVAP system out and after that, remove the push pin. Unhook the hoses from the EVAP canister before you spread the spring clips which will let you take the canister out of the bracket tabs to set it aside.
