2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser Exhaust Manifold Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove an Exhaust Manifold with an Integrated Turbocharger Assembly on 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: To replace the exhaust manifold, first remove the clean air hose and air cleaner housing on a Turbocharged vehicle because those items are serviced together. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery and next disconnect the throttle and speed control cables from the throttle lever and bracket. Subsequently, disconnect the MAP sensor's electrical connector and unfasten all the bolts holding the power steering fluid reservoir to the head of your cylinder. Disconnect the coolant recovery container and the bolts of the upper heat shield, then remove this shield. Elevate the automobile and take the exhaust pipe off the manifold. Get rid of the engine wiring heat shield, the manifold support bracket and the lower exhaust manifold heat shield. Take care of the lower bolts that hold the exhaust manifold in place and then remove the connector from the oxygen sensor. Drop the vehicle down and release all the upper fasteners that keep the exhaust manifold in place. After that, take out and get rid of the manifold gasket.
