2007 Chrysler Sebring Brake Disc Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Replace a Brake Disc on 2007 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Supervise both sides of the vehicle, lift it and then remove the nuts and the wheel. In certain situations, pulling the piston out of the caliper slightly can offer the room you need for removing the caliper; make sure you grip the inboard part of the caliper while handling the guide pins, since any direct pressure on the piston could cause harm. After that, get rid of the lower guide pin bolt in the disc brake caliper. Be sure not to pull the rear brake caliper too high so as not to break the flex hose. Lift the caliper only high enough to slide out the brake rotor, hinging off the upper guide pin bolt, then hold it up by the lower pin bolt and fasten the caliper in that position with a wire or bungee cord. Once the calipers are removed, slide the brake rotor over the hub, off the bearing and then take it out.
